Aug. 12 - European stocks were rising again, reversing a two-day slump, as major institutions reviewed their exposure to the US mortgage woes.

Stocks rebound after major selloff




Jul 30 - Stocks closed higher on Monday on the heels of one of the worst weekly selloffs in nearly five years.The Dow surged 93 points. The Nasdaq added 15 while the S&P 500 gained 21.

Ingersoll-Rand lifts industrial stocks.
Reuters Estimates revises Q2 profit growth higher.
American Home Mortgage shares plunge 40%.

Dow falls 226 on mortgage worries




Jul 24 - Stocks had their second biggest drop of the year as worries about the housing sector, the impact of the subprime mess and general uneasiness over corporate profits sparked the retreat.The Dow crumbled 226 points to 13,716. The Nasdaq tumbled 50 points to 2,639. The S&P 500 lost 30 points to 1,511. Crude oil prices fell for the third consecutive session.

Subprime worries strike again




Jun. 25 - U.S. stocks finished modestly lower as subprime fears surfaced near the end of the session to wipe away a triple-digit gain for the Dow. The Dow slipped 8 points to 13,352. The Nasdaq lost 11 points to 2,577. Crude oil prices finished little changed after a big fall early in the session.
